JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES: Phlebotomist The Phlebotomist job duties is to properly identify patients and correctly use phlebotomy methods (e.g. venipuncture, skin puncture). We’ll rely on you to preserve patient health and quality of samples. Freshers with training from MLT, ADMLT, DMLT, BMLT, B.Sc. MLT, or B.Voc. MLT background are welcome. Key Roles and Responsibilities : Determine the right venipuncture method based on patient age, health etc. Reassure patients and help them relax Find veins that are suitable for puncture Draw blood using sterilized needles, vials and other equipment 5. Ensure optimal quality and quantity of samples 6. Label/Barcoding of samples correctly and send or deliver them for testing in cold chain environment. 7. Answer patient questions and provide useful information 8. Keep accurate records on fluid specimens and tests 9. Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards while working 10. Help with blood transfusions when need 11. Comply with data integrity and security policies 12. Generate and issue receipts, and reconcile daily collections with the finance team. Maintain a cash/payment register and report discrepancies, if any. Coordination and Communication: Coordinate with phlebotomists, lab technicians, and administrative staff for smooth workflow.
